SEMAFO Foundation is currently engaged in developing and monitoring a number of projects.

From 2008 to 2019, SEMAFO Foundation invested several million dollars in the four areas of focus below:

Agriculture and Revenue-Generating Activities
Education and training

Community and production support
Health

Starting in the 2019-2020 year, we are shifting our focus towards income-generating projects and skill development by providing training in local trades. In doing so, we are helping to ensure that the villages surrounding SEMAFO mines continue to live in the best possible conditions even after closure of the mine. In collaboration with partners like Aflatoun, Job Booster and GERME training tools, we support the creation of new enterprises while sensitizing children to financial resource management through their social and financial education.
