Burkina Faso : in activity
On June 16, 2019, the Foundation team visited Somona to see the nursery that had been set up by the 15 participants in the February training. The Foundation’s officials noted how the nursery had developed since it had received seeds, a wire fence and other necessary articles. In fact, they could already see the changes in several types of seedlings including the papaya, baobab, eucalyptus, neem and mango plants. The activity will clearly help fight against desertification, and it is our hope that the training will help the future generation of Somona prosper. Both the SEMAFO gold mining company and the local community have been approached with regard to buying the plants produced.
