SUBDIVISION DEVELOPMENT PROJECT OR LAND-USE PLANNING
Burkina Faso: in activity in Bana, Wona and Kona
With this project, Foundation SEMAFO contributes to the communal development of the Bana and Kona communes.
The aim of this project is to improve community quality of life by supplying drinking water and at a later date, electricity. Subdivision planning eventually contributes to the fight against poverty because the new infrastructures offer potential for income-generating activities. Burkinabe political and administrative figures such as the Minister responsible for the department and the regional governor present at the official inauguration in October 2013, emphasised the importance of SEMAFO Foundation’s assistance. The latter alleviates the Burkinabe government, which cannot meet the many serious and urgent needs of the population.
